"What Is Save As?"
The Save As: dialog box is the most important dialog box you'll ever use in Windows. It's the key to organization. This is how you save a file to a particular place on your hard drive. Below I will give you a picture to practice with. We will save this to our desktop. Follow along.
1) RIGHT CLICK once on picture of lion.
2) A screen will pop up that looks like this. LEFT CLICK
3) When you do this a screen will pop up that looks like this.
4) Now go up to where it says Save in.
5) LEFT CLICK on the scroll symbol at the end of the Save in: box.
6) A screen will pop up looking like this.
LEFT CLICK on Desktop.
7) The screen will look like this now. All you do is click save.
You will see that:
A shows where you saved this file.
B shows the file name.
C shows the file type.
D shows where to click to save this file.
