Adding A Background To A Folder

#1) Right click on the desktop anyplace. A window will pop up like the one below. Left click on New.

#2) Next to the window will be another window like the one below. Left click on the word Folder. A new folder will be made on your desktop. You can name this folder what ever you like. Tonight we are going to name it test.

#3) Double left click on the test folder to open it.

#4) Left click on view.

#5) Another screen will pop up that looks like the one below. Left click on the words Customize this Folder.

#6) Now you will see the Wizard screen that pops up and ask you what you would like to do. We are going to choose a background picture. So click on that circle and then click Next, at bottom.

#7) Now this is where you will choose a background picture. All background pictures will be a .bmp format file. If you have some you have made you may browse for them and use them. Tonight though we are going to use one already in the folder we opened. Left click on Carved Stone.bmp

#8) You will notice you will be able to view the background you chose. Now go to the bottom and click next.

#9) This next screen that pops up lets you know you have completed the wizard and you are finished. Go to finish and left click on it.

#10) Now you can view your folder and it will have the background you selected. Also there will be a file in the folder called Desktop.ini. This file MUST stay in this folder for you to be able to view the background. Now you know how to make folders with interesting backgrounds.
