"What Is Drag And Drop?"
Drag and drop is when you take your cursor and left click on your file and drag and drop it into another folder. When you do this the folder will no longer be in the place you drug it from but in the folder you dropped it into. We are going to use a chat program a lot of people use called Virtual Places. Let's say someone gave you an avatar or a gesture and you want to move it to your gallery or gesture folder. First it is always best to save something to Desktop so you will know where it is and it is easy to find. We will drag this file and move it to the right folder. Now follow along and see how the process is done. If you have a file someone gave you which needs to be placed in a certain folder just follow along these guide lines but look for the folder you need instead of the one I am using as an example here.
#2) RIGHT CLICK once on Start at bottom left of computer screen.
#3) LEFT CLICK once on Explore.
#4) You will get a screen like this. It will have two sides to it. This is the Exploring-Start Menu.
#5) In this window on the left we are going to look for the (C:) drive and open it. You may have to scroll up to view it. If the (C:) drive is closed it will look like this.
A) Double LEFT CLICK on (C:) drive to open it if it is not opened.
B) If the (C:) drive is opened it will look like this and we need not to open it.
#6) Scroll down and double LEFT CLICK on Program Files.
#7) Scroll down and double LEFT CLICK on VPlaces.
#8) Down below VPlaces you will see EXTS., Double LEFT CLICK on it.
#9) Under EXTS. you will see the Gallery and Gestures folder.
#10) Now that we have that opened we are going to scroll down on the left side of the screen until we come to WINDOWS folder. Double LEFT CLICK on it if it is not opened to show folders under Windows. Under that you will see the folder DESKTOP
#11) LEFT CLICK once on it. You will have a screen that looks like this. You can see the balla.gif file there on the right.
#11) Now scroll back up to Gallery. You will see gallery on the left side of the screen and you will see the desktop screen on the right side. What you will do now is LEFT CLICK on balla.gif file and hold down on the left click as you DRAG the file balla.gif over to the GALLERY folder and DROP it into the gallery folder by letting go of left click.
#12) You are done and now it is time to close out of the Exploring-Start Menu. LEFT CLICK once on the X at the top right hand corner of the Exploring-Start Menu screen. It will look like this.

#10) Now that we have that opened we are going to scroll down on the left side of the screen until we come to WINDOWS folder. Double LEFT CLICK on it if it is not opened to show folders under Windows. Under that you will see the folder DESKTOP
